Emily’s newest song combines the best of classical, art, and pop music in her use of poetic lyrics, musical arrangement for string quintet and piano, and rich, mezzo-soprano voice. 

"Marigolds" is the poetic telling of a story of love and loss. Its haunting melody and melancholy lyrics plead for the memories of love once known to not be forgotten. Inspired by the way in which marigold seeds are spread on the wind, blossoming a hundred-fold come Spring, "Marigolds" is a song of hope and passion. It's a reminder that love returns in unexpected ways, and, though memories fade, they are simply marigolds blowing in the wind, returning each Spring with renewed life.
