Here and There and Everywhere | A Poem

Here and there and everywhere,

the world goes rushing by.

But deep inside my little mind,

I often wonder why.

Why do people run so fast,

not knowing where they go?

Can it be they see something,

that I will never know?

Here and there and everywhere,

the world keeps moving on.

But deep inside my little mind,

I feel myself withdrawn.

Why must we keep racing,

toward some forgotten dream?

Not only daring time itself,

but every lovely thing?

Here and there and everywhere,

the world keeps spinning 'round.

But deep inside my little mind,

I wish to slow it down.
