We are already almost a month into the new year!! I hope 2026 has been off to a beautiful and blessed start for you. After returning home from my holiday break, I hit the ground running with plans and preparations for the upcoming year with bookings, rehearsals, writing, recording, and so much more!
We have some confirmed shows through February - see below - with more to be announced soon, so stay tuned to my events calendar (here: https://www.emilyefinke.com/events) as performances get added.
Our first performance of the year will be a livestream concert on 01/31 at 7:00pm. Emily E. Finke Celebrates America: 250 Years of Freedom
I am very excited to bring a new show, "Emily E. Finke Celebrates America: 250 Years of Freedom," to venues throughout Florida this year. I have many wonderful projects I am looking forward to sharing with you in 2026, but I am probably most excited about a couple of original songs I plan to release starting in a few months. I wrote these songs last year and began recording them this month. Stay tuned for official release announcements to come soon!!
As many of you are aware, I love all things that are creative and crafty. One of my (many) hobbies is hand embroidery of which projects I have entered in my county fair (and been awarded a blue ribbon) the past 3 years. I wasn't sure I would be able to complete a project in time for this year's fair, but after 2 weeks of constant work, I was able to finish this decorative pillow inspired by one of my favorite Bing Crosby songs, "Going My Way." I love it so much, and it makes me so joyful every time I look at it. I dropped it off at my county fair exhibit this past weekend, so we'll so how it fares there, but I couldn't be more pleased with it, ribbon or not. It will be a source of inspiration and happiness for years to come and a daily reminder to choose joy.

And in final news, I am absolutely honored and thrilled to share that my song, "Legends," co-written/produced/performed with the amazing Andy Smith, has won its first (but hopefully not last) award!! We are so honored by this recognition by the World Songwriting Awards for awarding "Legends" Best Music Collaboration - Fall 2025. We wrote this song across 10,000 miles, and we accept this beautiful trophy across 10,000 miles - hence the photo mashup - as a tribute to what is possible when you don't let time, distance, or genre stand in your way.
That's all the updates for now! It's been a busy but amazing start to 2026, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for the remaining 11 months. I hope you "see" you all at Saturday's livestream! Till then, God bless you all ❤️
