The Thing Of Dreams

Silence.

Even the cicadas continuous hum came to a halt as the tension escalated.

The three explorers stood, sweat dripping from their faces, in the middle of the forest. Surely it is all a dream? The startling sight left them in confusion and astonishment, wondering if everything they ever believed was wrong.

Suddenly, a thunderous pounding filled the air as their bewilderment quickly turned to fear. The thing only ever seen in dreams was now a living nightmare for them.

They stumbled over the uneven forest floor, running for their very lives because this time, the dragon was after them.
