At Dawn, We Dance | A Poem

ree

Visions dancing in the sky

Mellow music whisp'ring by

Night is looming far ahead

But come the dawn, we dance

Darkness spreading far around

Anxious hearts are beating loud

Waiting for the morning sun

And come the dawn, to dance

Sleep is but a distant thought

Weary eyes are seen but naught

Searching frantic in the night

For light of dawn, to dance

Murmurs rising to a shout

Light is creeping all about

Night has now become the past

For dawn is here, to dance

Music soaring through the trees

Anxious hearts now beat at ease

Lifting up their spirits gay

For came the dawn, to dance
